BEFORE YOUR SESSION
Maternity sessions are only available to my newborn clients by booking a Dynamite Baby Plan, or maternity session add-0n. Maternity sessions are limited to immediate family only.
Prior to your photo session we will make sure to talk about the style of shots you are hoping to achieve, and we will discuss and choose your session location. I have several favorite outdoor locations that I can recommend if you don’t have a preference.
I am available to do outdoor maternity sessions in the evenings only, and studio sessions during the weekends between the hours of 9am to 2pm. Due to my limited availability, please contact me as early as possible to schedule your photo session. The Belly & Baby Plan fee is $225 and includes both sessions. Payment in full is required to reserve your session’s date & time.
You will have both a contract and a model release form available to review via email prior to the photo session. You may sign and return these prior to the session.
If I do not have these forms on file, you will be required to sign them before the start of the photo session. Also, please review the print & product pricing provided via email. We will be able to discuss which items you may be interested in ordering, so that I have these things in mind while designing your session.
What to Wear
During your maternity session I encourage all members of the family to coordinate colors and styles. Check out Pinterest for ideas about coordinating outfits for family pictures.
Pregnant mothers often look best in loose-fitting, flowing skirts or gowns that can be molded to emphasize your baby bump. Depending on your comfort level, pregnant mothers may also look striking in tightly fitted clothing from head to toe.
Regardless of what you choose, it is important to me that you are comfortable and relaxed during your session.
Please remember to wear shoes that are comfortable, but also as stylish as possible. A nice pair of sandals, cowboy boots, or flats often look the best in photographs. Please have all adult members of the family avoid white tennis shoes or sneakers, because they are bright, white tennis shoes attract unwanted attention in photographs.
You can change your wardrobe during the session if you would like to include two looks. Please notify me beforehand if you do plan on changing outfits so that our session start time can be adjusted to accommodate slightly more time.
DURING YOUR SESSION
Most of my maternity sessions occur outdoors in the evening hours just before sunset. Depending on the time of year and location it can be as early as 3pm or as late as 7pm. Please bring any snacks, drinks, or supplies that you, your significant other, or your children might need during the photo session.
Maternity sessions last about 1 hour. During this time we will be moving to several different spots at your chosen outdoor location for a variety of backgrounds and poses.
Studio maternity sessions are available on the weekends, between the hours of 9am and 2pm.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Unless otherwise noted, it should take no more than 2 weeks to edit and prepare your images. I will contact you once your images are ready to schedule a viewing and ordering session. This is where you will be able to view your images and finalize your product selections.
Once I payment is made, I will place your finalized order. Depending on your choices, it should take anywhere from two weeks to a month to receive your prints and products. I will contact you in order to arrange pickup, delivery, or shipping of the items to your home residence. If you purchase A La Carte digital files, I will send you an email with access to your chosen digital files via online gallery. If you purchase a collection, you will receive a flash drive with your included files, as well as watermarked web-sized files.
